Hello! I’m Masasi, or Assi for short. I’m the Chief Technology Officer at VeritasPay Inc, based in Manila, Philippines.
With over 20 years of experience as a developer, system analyst, and solutions architect, I specialize in building web applications, web APIs, desktop applications, and mobile applications, as well as designing comprehensive solutions. My expertise lies in seamlessly integrating different technologies to create effective and valuable solutions.
In addition to my role at VeritasPay, I’m also one of the co-founders of Pay@Cloud, one of the leading cloud-based HR and payroll systems in the Philippines. Since its inception in 2016, Pay@Cloud has been dedicated to providing innovative HR and payroll solutions tailored to the unique needs of businesses across the country. As a co-founder, I’ve been deeply involved in shaping the technological direction of the platform, ensuring it remains robust, scalable, and adaptable to the evolving demands of modern businesses. Our system supports both on-premise and cloud implementations and is trusted by banks, retail businesses, and other HRIS providers as the backbone of their HR systems.
Currently, my focus is on advancing cashless payment technology while sharing insights and tips with fellow developers and solution architects through my other blog, Cashless Nomad. As a Cashless Nomad, I embrace a mobile lifestyle where digital and mobile payment methods replace the need for physical cash, giving me the freedom to make payments effortlessly anywhere, anytime—whether through mobile wallets, contactless options, or digital banking. For me, being cashless isn’t just about convenience; it’s a way to stay connected and adaptable, enabling me to travel light, skip currency exchanges, and manage my finances seamlessly across borders.
